Wanderers Travel Co — Multi-Store Ecosystem

Project Overview

Redesigned and maintained four international Shopify Plus stores (.com / .co / .eu / .uk) using a unified codebase, custom checkout extensions, and an in-house returns management app.

The Challenge

Wanderers Travel Co operated four separate Shopify Plus stores targeting different markets — .com, .co, .eu, and .uk. Managing them as completely separate codebases was unsustainable. They also needed a fully custom checkout experience and a streamlined returns process to handle the volume of international orders.

The Solution

Architected a unified theme using Git branches and environment-based metafield configuration. Led the checkout.liquid → Checkout UI Extensions migration, building React-based upsell components, dynamic cart banners, and custom order notes. Developed Shopify Functions for conditional shipping and payment methods. Built a full custom multi-store returns & exchange app (Laravel + React) with StarshipIt shipping labels and PayPal refund integration.
