Complete Shopify theme migration from legacy architecture to Shopify 2.0 with custom Liquid sections, JSON templates, metafields integration, and advanced Storefront API implementation.
The Challenge
Vine Apparel required a complete store transformation from their legacy Vintage theme to a custom Shopify 2.0 setup. The new theme needed to be fully merchant-manageable via the Theme Customizer, with zero developer intervention for content updates.
The Solution
Rebuilt the entire theme from scratch using Shopify 2.0 JSON templates, section groups, and a rich library of 15+ custom Liquid sections. Used Section Rendering API for dynamic updates, Shopify Storefront API for real-time variant inventory, and metaobjects for reusable content blocks. Implemented critical CSS inlining, deferred JS, Shopify CDN optimization, and aspect-ratio reserving to eliminate CLS.
